About Us
We are a group of clinicians from oncology and head and neck backgrounds with engineers, basic scientists and regulatory consultants.
We at Emys Bionics are involved in identifying and addressing socially important unmet needs in cancer care, both treatment and rehabilitation. Our major strength is the team which comprises oncologists, head and neck surgeons, basic and translational research scientists, biomedical engineers, and regulatory consultants. We have access to MedTech facility, rapid prototyping facility, GMP facility, large animal facility and comprehensive healthcare setting including a 1000 bedded teaching hospital with a state-of-the-art comprehensive cancer care center.
We are incubated at Yenepoya Foundation for technology incubation.
What do we do
We are involved in various projects to improve the treatment and rehabilitation of cancer patients. Our primary focus is on patient-specific implants. We have developed various metallic and non-metallic 3D-printed implants to reconstruct complex defects in the head and neck region. We are also working on cancer rehabilitation services such as post-mastectomy rehabilitation using weighted breast prostheses and novel colostomy care appliances.
